Meet Patricia M. McClure-Chessier
Patricia M. McClure-Chessier is the President & Founder of Trish Against Alzheimer’s and Dementia (T.A.A.D. LLC.) T.A.A.D. was founded on December 26, 2020 in honor of her late mother Ann Shirley McClure who was born on December 26, 1934. Patricia was the caregiver for her mother with her loving husband Pastor Eric H. Chessier by her side. Ann passed away on December 25, 2004 due to complications of Alzheimer’s. It was shortly after that Patricia’s advocacy began on a national and state level with the Alzheimer’s Association to help advance research. Patricia has served as a team captain for various events in raising money for research for Alzheimer’s/Dementia, public speaking, special events, and served as the master of ceremony for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s charity event for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Patricia has been in the healthcare industry for over 25 years. She holds a MBA, MPA, and Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Patricia is currently employed as a Hospital CEO for a leading healthcare corporation. She is an adjunct college professor and public speaker for Alzheimer’s/Dementia and Caregiving. Patricia holds the position of Program Chair for Illinois Women Conquers Alzheimer’s which is an entity of the Alzheimer’s Association. Patricia has used her voice through books, public speaking and screen plays to advocate and educate others about Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Caregiving. Patricia is the award-winning author of Losing a Hero The Story of Pearl, which won 1st place in the Aging/Senior Living and Relationships categories and received an Honorable Mention in the Biography/Memoirs category at the 2016 Royal Dragonfly Book Award contest. “A Caregiver's Guide for Alzheimer's and Dementia Nine Key Principles” won 1st place in the Aging/Senior Living category and 2nd Place in the Educational, Health/Diet/Nutrition and How To categories at the 2020 Royal Dragonfly Book Award contest. Patricia has been the guest speaker for several healthcare conferences, schools, libraries, trade shows, churches, special organizations, and expos across the country. She has been featured in several magazines and interviewed on radio and television stations, including the Christian Television Network. Patricia resides in Chicago, Illinois with her husband and children.

Book Clubs
The award-wining author is available to do presentations for book clubs on “Losing a Hero to Alzheimer’s: The Story of Pearl” and "A Caregiver's Guide for Alzheimer's and Dementia: Nine Key Principles." Readers will dissect the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s and Dementia through real life examples. Patricia will provide participants the necessary tools to be effective as a caregiver. After the presentation, a Q & A session will follow.
